What is Proxeed® Plus?
Proxeed® Plus is a dietary supplement specifically designed to optimize sperm quality and protect against free radicals. Sperm quality refers to sperm count, concentration, motility, and morphology (shape). The ingredients in Proxeed® Plus have been scientifically proven to optimize sperm health, raising sperm count, concentration, motility, and speed. There has been only limited data on the influence of the ingredients in Proxeed® Plus on morphology; however, the ingredients in Proxeed® Plus are important for sperm development and membrane stabilization.

How many calories are in one packet of Proxeed® Plus?
12 calories.
How should Proxeed® Plus be taken?
Two packets of the male fertility solution Proxeed® Plus should be taken each day, one in the morning and one in the evening. Mix each packet with at least 4 ounces (1/2 cup or 120 ml) of juice or other cold beverage, and stir for one minute. Avoid hot beverages and carbonated drinks such as soda. Alternatively, Proxeed® Plus may be mixed with applesauce or yogurt. Proxeed® Plus should be taken shortly after mixing and not stored to be taken later. Do not exceed the recommended dosage of 2 sachets per day.
It's best to establish a routine of taking Proxeed® Plus at a particular time each morning and evening. You will increase your chances of remembering to take Proxeed® Plus if you take it at the same time each day, such as at breakfast and dinner.
What should I do if I forget to take Proxeed® Plus?
One packet of Proxeed® Plus should be taken twice daily (morning and evening) with at least six to eight hours between packets. The morning packet can be taken up until mid-afternoon, with the evening packet delayed six to eight hours. If it has been longer than eight hours, then it is best to omit the morning packet altogether and take the evening packet at the usual time. The evening packet can be taken up until bedtime.
What if I forget to take Proxeed® Plus for several days?
If you forget to take Proxeed® Plus for several days, simply resume taking Proxeed® Plus on a regular basis. However do not take more than 2 sachets per day as this is the optimal daily dosage. If the interruption is prolonged you will delay experiencing the optimum benefits of Proxeed® Plus. Interruptions will have less impact the longer you take Proxeed® Plus.
How long will I need to take Proxeed® Plus?
We recommend you take Proxeed® Plus for at least six months. Raising sperm count and optimizing sperm quality is slow because it takes sperm a long time to mature. Sperm take approximately 74 days to mature and an additional 20 days to become capable of fertilization. Therefore, it takes six months to optimize sperm quality, and six months is recommended as the usual course of supplementation and the initial order quantity. Initial improvement may be seen in as early as three months. However, you should continue to take Proxeed® Plus as long as you and your partner want to support your sperm quality.
What should I do after taking Proxeed® Plus for six months?
Proxeed® Plus should be taken as long as you desire to support your sperm quality.

Control by the Food Inspection Authorities
The EU has specific guidelines and requirements for all food supplements regarding the safety and maximum level of ingredients, labeling and claims. All national food safety authorities check food supplements regularly. Are there any guarantees that Proxeed® Plus will work on me?
sigma-tau HealthScience International cannot guarantee that all men will respond to the male fertility supplement Proxeed® Plus. The development of Proxeed® Plus is the result of a long history of scientific research that supports the role of the ingredients in Proxeed® Plus in improving sperm quality and raising the sperm count. There have been over a dozen human scientific studies to date, all demonstrating the ability of the ingredients in Proxeed® Plus to support sperm quality in men with idiopathic (of unknown cause) poor sperm quality.
As with any dietary supplement, vitamin, or medication, response can vary from person to person with some not responding at all. In the studies with the ingredients in Proxeed® Plus, approximately 20%–30% of men with poor sperm quality did not respond. This could in part be due to any number of factors that affect sperm quality such as environment, lifestyle, diet, hormone levels, and age. We think it is important for you to talk with your healthcare provider about the use of Proxeed® Plus as a male fertility supplement, as this individual best understands your health and nutritional status and will be able to place the information concerning Proxeed® Plus in an appropriate context for you.
Why is Proxeed® Plus a dietary supplement and not a prescription?
The EU defines a food supplement as a foodstuff with a predosed form (tablet, capsule) that has the purpose to supplement the normal diet. A food supplement contains concentrated sources of nutrients and other substances with a nutritional or physiological effect. (EU Food Supplement Directive 2002/46/EU). In compliance with this EU definition, Proxeed® Plus has been formulated to supplement the diet by increasing the total dietary intake of its active ingredients [L-carnitine (LC) fumarate, acetyl-L-carnitine (ALC) HCl, coenzyme Q10, vitamin C, vitamin B12, selenium, zinc, fructose, and citric acid].
How is Proxeed® Plus made?
All ingredients in Proxeed® Plus are manufactured using a high class pharmaceutical batch process according to EU standards, which uses only pure ingredients as raw materials. No animal fats, vegetable matter, or biofermentation is involved in or comes in contact with this process.
Furthermore, the combination of these ingredients is done in accordance with good manufacturing practices (GMP) in an EU-inspected facility. Although the two primary active ingredients (L- Carnitine fumarate and Acetyl L-Carnitine HCL ) are kosher-certified individually, a rabbi did not supervise the combination of the ingredients, and therefore, the final product does not bear kosher certification.
How does Proxeed® Plus differ from Proxeed®?
Proxeed® Plus has been modified using the ingredients in Proxeed® as its model. Proxeed® Plus offers additional key nutriceuticals in an effort to obtain optimal sperm health.

Can Proxeed® Plus be used together with prescription or nonprescription drugs?
There are no products or drugs in the EU of which is known that the combined use with Proxeed® Plus should be avoided. As for all food supplements it is advised to ask your specialist before starting the use of Proxeed® Plus, especially when you are taking any prescription medication. It is important not to exceed the recommended dosage.
Is the use of Proxeed® Plus safe?
Proxeed® Plus is a very safe male fertility supplement. There were no side effects reported in the scientific studies involving the ingredients in Proxeed® Plus. Since the introduction of its parent product, Proxeed®, in late 1998, a small number of customers (less than 1% of new patients) have reported mild gastrointestinal complaints including upset stomach, heartburn, flatulence (gas), and loose stools.
These symptoms can often be reduced by: dividing the dose (taking 1/2 packet at 8 a.m., 1 p.m., 5 p.m., and 10 p.m.); taking Proxeed® Plus mixed in water with meals; and/or avoiding citrus fruit juices. For more information, please read “How should Proxeed® Plus be taken?”
Can Proxeed® Plus be used together with other products or medicinal products?
Proxeed® Plus should not be used by anyone with known hypersensitivity or allergy to any of the ingredients in Proxeed® Plus. In all other cases Proxeed® Plus can be used.
It is recommended that you consult with your specialist before starting Proxeed® Plus.
Is it allowed to take more than 2 sachets per day?
The recommended dosage of 2 sachets per day is the optimal daily dosage and should not be exceeded. A higher dosage will not lead to a better effect.
